Sequoyah Wildwyn-Dechter (he/him) is a portrait photographer and stills lighting director based in New York City. With a background in fine art, editorial, and commercial photography, his work is recognized for its soulful, emotive, and striking portraits. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Savannah College of Art & Design, he has worked on projects with a diverse range of clients, including Vogue, GQ, OUT Magazine, and POP-AART.

Guided by an intuitive and intentional approach, Sequoyah creates an environment where his subjects can exist with authenticity, resulting in compelling and deeply human imagery. His signature style—shaped by years of fostering meaningful connections, capturing unique moments, and refining his distinct post-production techniques—has drawn clients from across the country, including actors, musicians, athletes, and brands.

Beyond his photography, Sequoyah is also a skilled retoucher, photo assistant, lighting technician, and creative director. He is actively involved in the LGBTQIA+, theatre, and analog photography communities in NYC, where he resides with his partner.
